First, it was the House Republicans who stood up and kill the Immigration Reform Act, and pressed for a fence to stem the tide of illegal immigration.

Second, it was the House Republicans who stayed in DC, to demand a vote on offshore drilling, which has resulted in the lifting of the Congressional ban on offshore drilling.

Now, it is the House Republicans who are standing up and saying that the $700,000,000,000 Wall Street Bailout is bad for America. They have proposed a less costly, and less risky plan to restore the credit markets.

The Democrats, led by Speaker Pelosi, do not need any Republicans votes in the House to pass bills. But the Democrats don't want to be blamed for this bailout, The Democrats created this mess by demanding banks loan (give) money to people who could not afford to pay it back - affordable housing for all (especially minorities, because it is wrong to consider the ability of the borrower to pay back the loan if they are part of minority group).

The Senate Democrats do need a few Republicans to allow a vote on this bill.

Republicans led by Senator McCain, are willing to risk the election, while trying to work with the Democrats to draft a bill which will actually help our economy.
Democrats led by __________, are not willing to risk the election, are not willing to take the blame if the bailout fails.
