Sunday is "Debt Day": As of Sunday, the federal government has spent all the money it will raise in taxes for the current fiscal year. From now until the end of the fiscal year in the fall, the government will be spending money that it will borrow from the Chinese and others, which will be repaid by our children and grandchildren. With interest. This is the earliest Debt Day in modern history, if not ever. From 2002 until now, it has fallen between July and September.

Gates: U.S. Not Prepared to Respond to North Korea Missile Launch.

The United States can do nothing to stop North Korea from breaking international law in the next 10 days by firing a missile that is unlikely to be shot down by the U.S. or its allies, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Sunday.

Appearing on “FOX News Sunday,” Gates said North Korea “probably will” fire the missile, prompting host Chris Wallace to ask: “And there’s nothing we can do about it?”

“No,” Gates answered, adding, “I would say we’re not prepared to do anything about it.”

Last week, Admiral Timothy Keating, commander of U.S. forces in the Pacific, said the U.S. is “fully prepared” to shoot down the missile. But Gates said such a response is unlikely.

“I think if we had an aberrant missile, one that was headed for Hawaii, that looked like it was headed for Hawaii or something like that, we might consider it,” Gates said. “But I don’t think we have any plans to do anything like that at this point.”

There are 2 reasons why the 'Birth Certificate Issue' will not cause Obama to be removed from office.
It took me a while to accept them, but they are 2 very strong reasons.

First, I am not a lawyer and I have no desire to be one.

Reason 1) The courts do not want to open the floodgates of lawsuits by allowing any US Citizen to challenge the eligibility of elected office holders. Therefore, the courts will not grant standing and will not hear the case.

Reason 2) Justice is not blind. The judge knows all possible outcomes of a case before the judge agrees to hear it. Since the judge does not want to be responsible for the chaos that will ensue if required to rule that Obama is not a natural born citizen, the judge will be quick to avoid the issue.

And if the judge is forced to hear the case: the judge will avoid the chaos by focusing on the one undisputed fact - Barack Hussein Obama's mother was a US Citizen. The judge will ignore all other claims and rule that BO is a natural born citizen of the USA, because his mother was a US Citizen.

The above is why at least 6 Justices on the Supreme Court are refusing to hear the case.

The only way the Supreme Court will consider the case is in the unlikely case that a lower court has ruled against BO.

I wish the courts would hear the case, but I accept that they will not.

545 PEOPLE

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault.

They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.

The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red .

If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ . If they
do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

After hearing a caller to the Neal Boortz show refer to 
the Federalist Papers, I decided to read them. 
The Federalist Papers were published in various newspapers
as 'op-eds' in support of the new US Constitution 
(our current Constitution). 
The Articles of Confederation did not allow for the 
sweeping changes, the Constitutional Convention which 
wrote our Constitution was in fact, illegal. 
The adoption of the US Constitution was a bloodless 
overthrow of the then current government. 

Excerts from Federalist #15, show how the current 
situation, 
an incompetetent BO in the White House, 
an economy going downhill, 
states declaring their independence, 
and a non-existent foreign policy; 
are very similar to the impotent central government 
under the Articles of Confederation.

Senator Judd Gregg's introductory comments at today's Senate Budget Committee hearing:

I appreciate the chairman saying that, in the second five years of this budget, the debt levels are unsustainable, because they are.

And the cost of this budget is unsustainable. And the tax burden is unsustainable. The chairman didn't say that. I added the second two categories. ...

The problem is that that effort to try to stabilize the economy has been used as a straw dog for the purposes of expanding the size of government in the out years exponentially, moving it to the left in a way that has never been projected or seen before, should it be successful.

The budget proposes about $1.4 trillion in new taxes over the next 10 years, about $725 billion in new discretionary spending, about $1.2 trillion in new mandatory spending. And virtually no savings. ...

It doubles the national debt in five years, publicly-held debt, this budget. And as the chairman has said, some of that is understandable, because of the fact that we've got this severe situation, and a lot of debt is being run up as a result of that.

But remember, much of the debt that's being run up in the short term, if it works, if the spending works -- for example, the TARP works, and some of the other initiatives work -- it's actually going to come back to us, because it's invested funds.

But the assumption is that it isn't going to come back to us to be used to reduce the debt. It's going to come back and be spent, all these funds coming back to us, so the debt triples in 10 years.

The practical implications of that are staggering for our children.

All the presidents -- including George Bush -- since the beginning of our republic, will not have run up as much debt as this budget will run up in the first period of its term.

And there is no factoring in, really, of what is coming at us in a significant way, which is the retirement of the baby boom generation, the cost of entitlements on top of all of that.

So, you essentially have set up a scenario here under this budget, where we will pass on to our children in the very near future, at about the end of four years from now, a debt-to-GDP ratio which is unsustainable and a deficit ratio which is unsustainable. And that means our kids are going to have a hard time digging themselves out of this hole.

Obviously, Wall Street has not been thrilled with Barack Obama's tax and spend rescue plan. Obama's budget more than doubles the national debt held by the public, and adds more to the debt than all previous presidents -- from George Washington to George W. Bush -- combined.

President Obama, who has been criticized for his plans to sign a pork-laden $410 billion omnibus spending package moving through Congress this week, will release new rules for earmarks prior to signing the bill, the White House said Monday.

"The president is going to draw some very clear lines about what's going to happen going forward," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said. "The rules of the road going forward for those many appropriations bills that will go through Congress and come to his desk will be done differently."

Mr. Gibbs said privately that the president would announce the new rules - which the White House did not reveal when asked - either when he signs the omnibus bill or prior to the signing.
