Cabinet Tax Policy

"When you put anybody's tax filings under a microscope, people don't have to be dishonest," said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev. "It's just hard to do all the right things. It certainly shouldn't disqualify him."

Remember, Senator Reid has stated that 'income tax is optional'.

NO WONDER THE DEMOCRATS WANT TO RAISE TAXES;
DEMOCRATS DO NOT PAY TAXES.

Rush at CPAC

The money quotes from Rush Limbaugh:

"'It doesn't matter to me what his race is. He's liberal, and that's what matters.'

"'The racism in our culture was exclusively and fully on display in the Democrat primary last year,' Limbaugh said. 'We didn't ask if he was authentically black. What we were asking, was, 'Was he wrong?' We concluded, 'Yes.' '

"'The racism, the sexism, the bigotry that we are all charged with ... doesn't exist on our side,' he added. 'We want everybody to succeed.'"

Radio Chip on ID's

Privacy advocates are issuing warnings about a new radio chip plan that ultimately could provide electronic identification for every adult in the U.S. and allow agents to compile attendance lists at anti-government rallies simply by walking through the assembly.

The proposal, which has earned the support of Janet Napolitano, the newly chosen chief of the Department of Homeland Security, would embed radio chips in driver's licenses, or "enhanced driver's licenses."

"Enhanced driver's licenses give confidence that the person holding the card is the person who is supposed to be holding the card, and it's less elaborate than REAL ID," Napolitano said in a Washington Times report.
*****
This is scary.

How do you know if the person on the card is the person holding the card?

This would make it easy to 'plant' false evidence by simply having a Government agent/brownshirt use a duplicate Enhanced ID to create a false trail for a Critic of BO.
Then use this false information as cause to search this critic's home.

IF a bumper sticker is enough cause for the Secret Service to search a home..... more...

Presidents

Originally published 1/17/09:

JFK   LBJ   RMN   GF   JC   RR   GHWB   WJC   GWB
And now   BO.

9 10 Presidents, so far, and soon to be 10.
Of those 9 10, three served two complete terms; Reagan, Clinton, and Bush

Update: Obama has now spent more money in one month, than any of them spent in an entire term in office. Obama has intentionally collapsed the global economy, yes, intentionally destroyed banks in order to impose communism/socialism/Islam on the world. Obama has signaled support for Iran to obtain nuclear weapons, Hamas to kill Jews, and to stop drilling for oil in the USA keeping us dependent on Saudi Oil.

Reagan ended the Cold War, with a victory for the USA.
Clinton was impeached, but not removed from office.
Bush aggressively protected America after 9/11.

Reagan assumed office during a dark time, the economy was bad, and the nation was pessimestic. Reagan changed both for the better.

Clinton enjoyed the first boom of the internet economy, and ignored growing threats to our nation. Clinton's housing for everyone attitude, has led to the collapse of credit markets.

Bush was hit hard by 9/11, and was determined not to allow another terrorist strike on America, and he did not. Bush failed to restrain Congress on spending and has thrown the economy away with the massive bailouts.

Carter and Bush, Sr, each served one complete term.

Carter surrendered the Panama Canal and allowed students in Iran to hold the USA hostage. Carter inherited a bad economy and made it worse.

Bush, Sr, acted to stop an aggressive Iraq under Saddam Hussein, but did not complete that mission. Bush also went back on his word "No New Taxes", and raised taxes.

Kennedy and Ford each served less than one complete term.

Kennedy did well during the Cuban Missile Crisis but he got us involved in Vietnam. JFK also launched the space program.

Ford finished Nixon's second term, and accomplished much without fanfare.

Johnson and Nixon each served one term plus.

Johnson assumed office upon Kennedy's death, and really increased our involvement in Vietnam. Under Johnson, we were suffering two dozen KIA's a day, in a war Johnson would not allow the military to win.

Nixon followed Johnson, and pledged to end our involvement in Vietnam, he did withdraw our troops and Congress stopped aid to South Vietnam. Congress allowed the Communist North to commit human right violations upon the South Vietnamese. Nixon was on his way to impeachment, over the break-in at the DNC offices, when he resigned.

Rankings below the fold.

HOPE for America

Gov. Bobby Jindal

“During Hurricane Katrina, I and former Sheriff Harry Lee were with (then Congressman) Bobby Jindal more than anybody else from the federal government. He didn’t wait for cameras or permission — he was boots on the ground, and anyone that disputes that obviously wasn’t in Louisiana.” — Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand, Democrat

Well, Mr. Zachary Roth, leftist activist posing as a journalist, I strongly suggest you employ the inventive new idea of talking to people who were actually THERE. Because they’ll tell you the same thing: that Bobby Jindal met with them in person on the ground in the days and weeks following the storm (some of them multiple times), that he was active on site in all three areas helping people deal with ridiculous bureaucratic red tape, and that the reason you may not have heard about these stories before is that unlike people like Governor Blanco, he was less interested in holding press conferences than he was in saving lives and helping first responders do their jobs.

That also happens to be the reason why in 2007, so many of these local Democrat officials crossed party lines to endorse Bobby. Like the 65-member Louisiana Sheriffs Association, who endorsed him for governor even though all but seven of them are Democrats, even though they had endorsed his opponent four years earlier. Because regardless of party, he was the Congressman who did the most.

*****
Actions speak louder than words.

Then Republican Rep. Jindal was there for the people.
The People elected Jindal to replace Democratic Gov. Blanco,
because she did nothing to help the people,
Democrat Gov. Blanco only used the suffering for political advantage.

During crisis:
Democrats hold press conferences,
Republican render aid.

Red Dawn in DC

From my friend, a retired Lt. Colonel : (via Eyes on the Lilies)

Hello out there! ... Anybody paying attention to this? Alcee Hastings an impeached and discredited former Federal Judge ... and an incumbent Congressman in a district where koolaid drinking voters flat do not care, has proposed that we build detention centers for civilians. This is the same political party that locked up American citizens of Japanese desent during WWII.

I heard Jerome Corsi being interviewed today on the radio about this so I decided to look it up. There must be an invasion, or perhaps the collapse of Mexico, or narco-war spillover to be able to override Posse Comitatus.

[The Posse Comitatus Act is a United States federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1385) passed on June 16, 1878 after the end of Reconstruction, with the intention (in concert with the Insurrection Act of 1807) of substantially limiting the powers of the federal government to use the military for law enforcement. The statute generally prohibits federal military personnel and units of the National Guard under federal authority from acting in a law enforcement capacity within the United States, except where expressly authorized by the Constitution or Congress. The Coast Guard is exempt from the Act.]

There are plenty of old billets in existing bases and USAR/ARNG Installations. Why do they want new ones?

I helped prepare Ft. McCoy in 1980 to receive Cuban Mariel Boatlift refugees. I was simply amazed at how fast fence and triple concertina and barricades can go up when we need to do it. It was necessary as there were many bad guys, criminals, and mental patients mixed in with political refuges.
REP Hastings is proposing something else here. The Administration is expecting civilian unrest... Really ...why ?

Rest easy about our soldiers. Don't expect the US Military to obey or abet unconstitutional orders. How and what are these guys in Congress up to? Why no press coverage [stupid question, I know]. I do know that no soldier I ever served with would hunt down or kill an American citizen.

Hurry, I must leave the country.

from Drudge:

HURRY, FELLAS, LET'S VOTE, I AM OFF TO ROME!
Fri Feb 13 2009 09:18:52 ET

Rep. John Culberson, TX claims the "stimulus" bill must be urgently voted on today -- because Speaker Nancy Pelosi is leaving at 6:00 PM for an 8 day trip to Europe!

Culberson made the charge on Houston's KSEV radio.

Pelosi is hoping to lead a delegation to Europe; there's a meeting with the Pope and an award from an Italian legislative group.

Calls to Pelosi's spokesman went unreturned.

In the rushing, Democrats have now broken their promise to have the public see the $790 billion bill for 48 hours before any vote.

Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) predicted that none of his Senate colleagues would 'have the chance' to read the entire final version of the 1,071-page bill before it comes up for a final vote.

We're at the bottom of the hole, dig faster!

Feb. 5 (Bloomberg) – Fannie Mae, the mortgage-finance company under U.S. government control, will loosen rules for homeowners seeking to lower their loan payments by refinancing.

Fannie Mae will drop some credit-score requirements, reduce income-documentation standards and waive the need for appraisals in some cases, according to a notice yesterday to lenders posted on the Washington-based company’s Web site. The changes apply to loans that the company owns or guarantees.

****
Lowering credit standards is what caused the collapse of the credit markets to begin with.

Face Facts:
Some People Don't Deserve Credit.

Some People Will Not Pay Their Debts.

Some People Have No Idea How To Budget.

We need to return to the day, when buying your first home was a huge achievement because it was so difficult to qualify for the mortgage.

Republicans: Follow Obama's Advice

Yes, Republicans need to follow the advice Obama gave to his supporters on the campaign trail.

"Get in their faces!"

Republicans need to get into Obama's face, and ask questions.
Republicans need to get into Obama's face, and challenge him.

How does this Recovery Act 'create' jobs?
Jobs for whom?
Why give money to corporations?
Why not give the money directly to the people?
With permanent lower taxes, with tax rebates.

Republicans, Get into Obama's face and demand answers!

Force Obama
to defend his programs,
to defend his cabinet picks,
to defend his policy choices.

Let all Americans know that there are alternatives.

Responsible Republicans

Via: Michelle Malkin:

Palin says requesting what she calls non-formula projects, like those Begich suggests, could lead to, "....unhealthy practices and results that often occur in the Congressional earmarking process."

It is a statement that some say sounds similar to those Palin used on the Vice-Presidential campaign trail.

The letter ends with Palin telling the congressional delegation, "...beyond my purview as Governor, I also urge you to consider how the economic stimulus package will affect the national debt and the future economic health of the country."

******

Gov. Mark Sanford blasted such plans as wasteful and told CNN anchor Wolf
Blitzer on Sunday that President-elect Barack Obama's proposed stimulus package
is "a horrible mistake" with "dire consequences for the next generation."

Bipartisan -- Not

Comrade Speaker Pelosi wants no debate, she demands a rubber stamp.

Comrade Speaker Pelosi pledged to make this a bipartisan Congress, when she actually is telling the Republicans to STFU.

Below is the Republican response to Comrade Speaker's rule changes.

January 5, 2009

The Honorable Nancy Pelosi
Speaker of the House
H-232, U.S. Capitol
Washington, D.C. 20515

Dear Madame Speaker,

We hope you and your family had a joyful holiday season, and as we begin a new year and a new Congress, we look forward to working with you, our colleagues on both sides of the aisle, and President-elect Obama in tackling the many challenges facing our nation.

President Obama has pledged to lead a government that is open and transparent. With that in mind, we are deeply troubled by media reports indicating that the Democratic leadership is poised to repeal reforms put in place in 1995 that were intended to help restore Americans’ trust and confidence in the People’s House. Specifically, these reports note that the Majority, as part of its rules package governing the new Congress, will end six-year term limits for Committee chairs and further restrict the opportunity for all members to offer alternative legislation. This does not represent change; it is reverting back to the undemocratic one-party rule and backroom deals that the American people rejected more than a decade ago. And it has grave implications for the American people and their freedom, coming at a time when an unprecedented expansion of federal power and spending is being hastily planned by a single party behind closed doors. Republicans will vigorously oppose repealing these reforms if they are brought to a vote on the House floor.

As you know, after Republicans gained the majority in the House in 1995, our chamber adopted rules to limit the terms of all committee chairs to three terms in order to reward new ideas, innovation, and merit rather than the strict longevity that determined chairmanships in the past. This reform was intended to help restore the faith and trust of the American people in their government – a theme central to President-elect Obama’s campaign last year. He promoted a message of “change,” but Madame Speaker, abolishing term limit reform is the opposite of “change.” Instead, it will entrench a handful of Members of the House in positions of permanent power, with little regard for its impact on the American people.

The American people also stand to pay a price if the Majority further shuts down free and open debate on the House floor by refusing to allow all members the opportunity to offer substantive alternatives to important legislation -- the same opportunities that Republicans guaranteed to Democrats as motions to recommit during their 12 years in the Minority. The Majority’s record in the last Congress was the worst in history when it came to having a free and open debate on the issues.

This proposed change also would prevent Members from exposing and offering proposals to eliminate tax increases hidden by the Democratic Majority in larger pieces of legislation. This is not the kind of openness and transparency that President-elect Obama promised. This change would deprive tens of millions of Americans the opportunity to have a voice in the most important policy decisions facing our country.

Madame Speaker, we urge you to reconsider the decision to repeal these reforms, which could come up for a vote as early as tomorrow. Just as a new year brings fresh feelings of optimism and renewal for the American people, so too should a new Congress. Changing the House rules in the manner highlighted by recent media reports would have the opposite effect: further breaching the trust between our nation’s elected representatives and the men and women who send them to Washington to serve their interests and protect their freedom.

Sincerely,

Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio), Republican Leader
Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.), Republican Whip
Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.), Conference Chairman
Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich.), Policy Committee Chairman
Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wyo.), Conference Vice-Chair
Rep. John Carter (R-Texas), Conference Secretary
Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Texas), NRCC Chairman
Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), Chief Deputy Whip
Rep. David Dreier (R-Calif.), Rules Committee Ranking Republican

Stealing the Election

Here we go again, 171 "miracle" ballots were found today by the Minnesota recount officials. Just like the 100 "miracle" ballots that were found during the initial count, these ballots were found in a heavily Democratic County. Ramsey county where the ballots were found went 52% For Franken (vs 34% Coleman) and 54% Obama. I don't know if the miracle is that they find the ballots, or that they ONLY find the ballots in Democratic Party counties.

****
Bull.
These are fraudulent ballots prepared after election day.

Democrats want a dictatorship, not democracy.
